BITS Marketplace exists to help everyone on campus.

Every semester, hostellers move in, settle down, and a few months later, move out again. Mattresses, buckets, mugs, dustbins, curtains, umbrellas, posters, books - most of these are perfectly fine, but they don't fit in a suitcase home.

Meanwhile, every July a new batch arrives and ends up buying the same items at full price. We thought that was wasteful and a little absurd. So we built this.

What you can do here

• Sell second-hand items to other students on campus - books, electronics, hostel essentials.
• Buy second-hand items at student-friendly prices instead of paying retail.
• Donate before you graduate. Pick a date on the calendar, our volunteers come pick up your stuff, and we hold it over the summer.
• Pre-book as an incoming junior. When the new batch arrives, we open up the donated inventory at subsidised prices.
